I'm working in an MRSA lab as a work placement for uni and I don't wear gloves to streak. Also, we don't flame the necks of the vials every time we open/close them.

@Laurel382 Look at any procedure protocol for streaking and plating and it will say that you need to wear PPE. That includes gloves. I have never been in a lab were they do not wear gloves to streak, including ones that still have Bunsen burners.
