Bob Milisch - Instructor, Respiratory Therapist
I actually started out by working in the operating rooms as a janitor, cleaning up, and then as an orderly, and liked medicine. I got to watch some of the surgeries and was in awe of all the things they could do with the human body and thats what got me into looking at something medical.

Keith Torgerud - Graduate, Respiratory Therapist
If youve thought about going into patient care, respiratory is a great place to start. I think its a very good career choice.

  • Colombia'm respiratory therapist, and I would like to work in canada, unfortunately in Colombia's health system is not very good, but the labor is enough, the experiences we have with regard to cardiopulmonary pathologies is very good, respiratory therapists Colombians are prepared for war trauma, to receive patients with acute myocardial infarction and in general any type of pathology presented by the patient's respiratory status,

  • how hard is it to find a job as an RT

  • @5959512 That assumes nursing is hard to begin with. If you can't handle nursing, I recommend you don't do RT, since you'd be responsible for diagnosis.

  • 34 years experience as an RRTand I cannot find even a prn job.
