My wife and I just passed our 16th wedding anniversary. After pursuing infertility treatments for 6 years, we adopted our daughter, and then 2 years later our son. After our son's adoption, we did 6 more rounds of "procedures" (IUI's). After the 6th one failed, we thanked the Lord for our 2 beautiful children and shut the door for good! No more thinking that we had missed out on something by not ever being able to get pregnant. We gave everything "baby" away. And now, here we are 8 years later, with not a single baby item in our house and...shock, double shock...ummm, I think I need baby stuff again! But, it's all good...wonderful in fact!!!!
I wish you the very best of luck. It's truly an amazing experience both pregnancy and parenthood. I gave birth to my (not planned) son just 1.5 moth ago, so I know what I'm talking about.
