When I listen to this song I feel terror for some reason. Everything focuses to the song. Time stops....

one has to be present ...here, now, to experience the death rattle.
experience is just experience...no more or less, nothing better or lesser than anything else, no special place..only in the mind does it exist, like magic, or demons or love or god. mind is empty like space.

Reading THESE comments, compared to some I've seen elsewhere? I have to admit: You guys know your Neurosis!!!

Saw them in London on the 6th December just gone. They opened with this and then battered us with The Doorway. I was utterly compressed with joy!

I agree on every description there yet my fave album is eye of every storm, which i think is much darker but in a more subtle way. It's bleak as hell and might as well be the soundtrack to the end of everything.
Every album is great and when I speak to someone who hasn't heard neurosis before, I have a hard time trying to recommend an album to "get into them" with.
My favourite band in the world by far.

Wow amazing video that little kid is fryin down on peyote or something my favorite is the wolf running into the fire.great song too.
Neurosis picked their name well because that's what their music causes. Perfect.
I've heard stuff fron Enemy of the sun,the Given to the rising seems to be an awesome album but I ve heard menu people saying that their best album is the Times of grace. If someone can help me,please send a comment or visit my channel!

It's hard to point one album as their best, it is not really matter of quality, but rather a personal taste. Enemy of the Sun is based on heavy impact, Through Silver in Blood has incredible drumming, the trancelike rhythm is the key feature, Times of Grace is great in combinig heavy stormlike passages with sadder, calmer sound, A Sun That Never Sets is a raw psychedelic trip to prehistorical subconsciousness,*

* Eye of Every Storm has more calm passages than any other of theirs with cold atmosphere and awesome waves of cold noise, Given to The Rising is returning bit to the sound of Through Silver in Blood and Times of Grace set up into a dark night. Pick for yourself;)
