IN HARAJUKU THERE IS A PLACE TO EXPLORE YOUR INNER DREAMS OF BECOMING A MAIKO, GEISHA OR OIRAN.
It's called Studio Katsura. This is basically a slide show but I will never forget this experience. I felt like a princess although I do have to say that I don't know that I would want to do it all the time. The Kimono was very tight and a little difficult to walk in. If you ever make it down to Tokyo this is a must do.

People on youtube totally abuses the thumbs up/down system. But I'll give you that, only idiots think that geisha/maiko are prostitutes. They are so far from that.

uhh Just so you know Oiran is a prostitute. Geisha and Maiko aren't... but they get mixed up a lot because Oiran dress as Geisha. I didnt think they would offer Oiran because its an insult to be considered one... ya know... cause their prostitutes...

@cheshercat100 I don't know how much it cost, but I know that they will not let you keep the kimono, obi or any other garments.... They cost quite a lot of money

There english was a bit broken and some weren't bad at all but at that point I learned a bit of japanese.
