  • That's just awesome that you played with JOE MAPHIS. That man was the ultimate guitar slinger. He imitated fiddle licks, by flatpicking guitar, and influenced bluegrass, country boogie, Honky tonk, influenced ( & was influenced by) Rockabilly, influenced surf music, everything. Only Maybelle Carter, & Merle Travis were as innovative on guitar.

  • Ive got a picture of Uncle Joe standing over me, playing the top neck, with me playing the bottom of his Double-neck Mosrite...Yeah, Joe was the man...Sure miss him...

  • Very cool Micky leep them coming! Rick

  • @Singlpilot Do you know how to play Cryin' Steel or Run Around?

  • @Singlpilot You know Chuck Berry wrote this, besides guitar, he did in fact play pedal steel, but not on this though

  • Micky you are amazing man!

  • My first one with open strings - can a bar be too long and heavy...? After practising this it felt that way.

Sounds more than it is to play - like that! Tank you for teaching!

  • Man, I would have LOVED to have seen him live. How great of an experience it must be to play with him!

  • I am enjoying your lessons on You Tube. How can I purchase your lessons on a DVD? Jaybird
