Words & music by Steve Suffet ©. The Evergreen Line was a 2-mile long freight branch of the Long Island Railroad that ran at street level through Brooklyn and a small part of Queens, New York. When it finally closed in 1984 after more than 100 years, it had only one customer left. Recorded at the Peoples' Voice Cafe in New York City on November 23, 2013. Second vocal on choruses by Anne Price. Raw video footage by Joel Landy.
