Too fast

It's a beautiful sound coming from the choir and a very good blend. I do agree with most of the comments here. It is way too fast. Mr. Lauridsen marks the score ca: 3'20". Also, I suggest you recruit someone who is familiar with french diction and coach you on that. There are consistent mistakes on basic french diction in this performance which could be easily solve by a diction expert. Best wishes and keep singing beautiful music!

I agree with everyone, it's going way too fast. It sounds good, but too fast.

Way too fast... it's also a little bright at places, and dynamics need work. It's like whoever sang this didn't know the message or didn't care about it.
Absolutely gorgeous.
But far too fast. When this is sung, it should be more caressing than hurried.
A rose is a fragile thing. Look at the English translation, and it'll make more sense slow.
But still, a fantastic recording. Great job guys!

I like this version. I think there are more opportunities if it's taken slow to have expression and sort of 'stretch' the tension. But still, it's a beautiful song, regardless.
