  • @svtlincoln If you want an example of an engine, you only need to look at fords "Coyote" engine.

DOHC, Ti-VCT which is a neat feature that allows the intake and exahust valve timing to be independantly controlled, 412hp, 390 lb/ft of torque, naturally aspirated...

And if Ford pumps out a direct injection version, it would stomp on its mainstream, foreign and domestic rivals.

  • @svtlincoln Your original comment is about power efficiency per liter, and my response is that efficency per liter doesn't matter, it's power/weight. The LSx is a bigger motor, but it is lighter and can put down more power for it;s weight, so if you enjoy the heavier / less powerful engine, by all means, enjoy it, I'll go with the power/weight engine.

  • nice.

  • @auxil47 If you were to pull the Coyote motor from a new Mustang, and put it on an engine dyno, it would make damn near 500 horse. We should be grateful that the big 3 are underrating their powerplants with "net" ratings. During the original musclecar era, everything carried a "gross" rating. By the time all the accesories and full exhaust were installed, that magnificant "gross" rating, was considerably less. Coyote RWHP #'s are damn near the factory 412 crankshaft rating.

  • @TransAmFTW I don't think they're pathetic. My original comment is a shot at chevy for still using pushrods in their engines. If they'd upgrade to OHC V8 engines they could be making even more power then they already are.

  • @1Kurgan1 You still haven't even comprehended what my original comment was saying. I doubt you're going to even try to figure out what I'm talking about. You're too stuck on your opinion. Therefore we're just gonna have to agree to disagree.

  • @svtlincoln dude ya gotta give it to the newer LS v8s they are pretty good chevy isnt totally pathetic i like the newer ls series

  • @svtlincoln It doesn't matter the weight difference, no matter how small it is. What matters is it can make more power for it's weight, yeah the Ford is lighter, makes more hp/l, what does thta matter if they are roughly the same weight and the LSx makes more power? Do you understand that at all, or are you that dense?

  • @1Kurgan1 you still keep saying "heavy ass motor" it's 24lbs!!!! that doesn't make it a heavy ass motor. The weight diff?? The 4cam OHC design. wider bigger heads. 24lbs is equal to 2.4hp as far as drag racing goes. So 2.4hp is equal to a loss of .024secs not that big of a diff. and despite being heavy it still whoops ANY chevy engines ass when it comes to power. Now kindly fuck off you pathetic waste of space and time.

  • @svtlincoln 24lb is all that matters, if it makes more power and weighs less than why the hell do cubes matter? And it was a joke, but people have ran 14's NA on 3800's. And your 25-70 took over 6 seconds. And funny thing is, I've owned a 4.6L DOHC as well, just sold my 96 continental with 240k on it, and I've owned 4 SHO's, and a Grand Marquis. I like your cubes argument, shit gets shot down, heavy ass motor, start your retard flail of excuses. Weights matters, you're dumb, end of story.

  • @1Kurgan1 LMFAO!!! You wait a month and all you can come back with is "it's heavier" The LS1 is 24lbs lighter. That's it... a whole 24lbs. You think you can run a 14.3 without your supercharger? 1st i'd bet my fuckin house on that. i watched ur vid, 25-70 took you just over 5secs, my vid 25-70 takes my heavy ass car just over 5secs. AND you have boost with over a 500lb curb weight advantage. Should've know u were a GTP owner, you're all fuckin idiots.
