Hypnodisc v Panic Attack. Radio control small scale robots fighting. Here the spinner of Hypnodisc does not go around but still acts as a useful way to get under other machines. Panic Attack is a great pusher shape.

Part 10 will have a web link to some paper robot templates, so you can download and cut out your own (whilst link is live). Then stick some card underneath in key areas to strengthen the paper model. Then Blu-Tack these to small R/C micro cars, and away you go. The robot toys are the same scale. We used the House Robots in this series of videos.

You can make your own by photographing the toys and printing out and sticking together the parts.

  • try renforcing the robots with foil it should make them stronger

  • Not a bad idea but we want them to show some sort of damage. We actually reinforce the flipper bots with a piece of card under the leading edge so they can push but keep the sides flexable.

  • i ment like renforcing panic attcks prongs of hypnodisc's disc

  • Panic Attack's prongs did have card reinforcement but we did nothing to the disc. We could have made it able to spin and out of card, so it might spin when hit.

  • @Calvertfilm hey new idea. you know when you get a kinda big toy for christmas. it has those bendable stick thingys. well i was thinking you could use them to make a chassis.

  • @wwefan12431 Yeah a good idea if we wanted to make them stronger and more competitive but we actually want these ones to be able to suffer damage, for the filming.

I have some middleweight robots too, and I was thinking of sticking metals panels on the sides with velcro, so they easily simulate damage in a fight but without getting really damaged. I used these bots for displays you see.

  • @wwefan12431 Would be tricky with paper but I suppose possible.
