Ever get this car started?

This could be several things. Could be crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor (if it has one, depending on the engine), or ignition module.

You may be the victim of wiring issues.

Is it a digital dashboard?

Yeah. Does it turn completely off or does it get dim? If it gets dim, there's a slider near the headlight button. Slide it up and see what hapens.

Nope. not as of yet, and I hope I don't ever have to...they expensive! ($150+)

Nope. I happen to have a Haynes manual for these cars (Cutlass Supreme 88-97), and that book is so uninformative, it's like knowing nothing at all.
