Yuck. The colorized version distracts from the story and the characters, in my opinion.

Just because you *can* do a thing, that doesn't mean that you *should*. Leave the film in good old B&W I say.

The newer colorized version is better, but neither are really that good. I do think that colorization is fine for a modern person, or a kid, as long as you also include the original B&W version in the DVD for purists. Thankfully, most colorized films do this, and the technology has improved to the point, where the films don't look ugly, but people still look like they're sculpted out of clay, and wearing wigs.

i dont believe in "colourization" colour adds nothing to this remarkable movie,in fact it takes away its charm, no, for me its monochrome in all its glory [film buffs will understand this last remark]LOL

turner didnt colorize this film, it was a company called AFT. which also colorized 'its a wonderful life in 1989 and for the technology of that time . they did a good job.
