Tales of Destiny DC - Leon Magnus Battle

The battle with Leon. A lot of fun and one my favourite battles in the game.

Dark and Earth protection on all characters goes a long way in this battle and will make it pretty hard for Leon to kill anyone. Otherwise Leon can be pretty deadly. He has some pretty good AI and can tie together some interesting combos. He likes to use his BCs alot, so watch out if he blasts. RUN when you see Houryuu Zankouken, because if it connects, Majin Rengokusatsu is sure to follow. That BC has a big range and can do some scary damage; I imagine it would slaughter if you didn't have dark resistance. Leon will also use a tech that's exclusive to this battle: Majin Senretsushou. I was hoping that it would become usable outside this fight in the director's cut, but no luck. -_-

Leon resists nearly everything you can throw at him, so in terms of offense I tried to keep him up in the air with spells like Ice Tornado, Stream Arrow, and Cyclone. Philia's Divine Power is element-less, so it can do some decent damage. I'd suggest filling her blast gauge before battle. Stahn's Satsugeki Bukouken becomes available for the first time near the end of this battle.

Out of curiosity is Flame Shoot acquired through I sidequest? I assume so since im in Dycroft and I havent learned it lol

@benjaymanthe5th Yeah the remake is released later than ToD2 so many moves from Judas could be seen being used by Lion such as Majin Senretsushou,Majin Messatsuen and you could say Judas is indirectly the cause of why Lion is holding dagger on his right hand now as the original is sword and shield

Isnt Majin Senretsushou one of Judases Blast calibers? i guess thats where he gets it from

Haha I just noticed now, all you party members use their Blast Caliber in the first minute of battle.
