Dieselducy and I filmed this one together back in February. It is quite nice for a new basic installation (other than the strange lack of a door close button).

  • The door close button was relocated to the locked fire operation panel, since it doesn't work while the car is in normal operation.

  • @thyssenelevator95 I guess that does make some sense. If it doesn't do anything (in standard operation), why bother.

  • Door close button doesn't work, or isn't even there. I don't like that! :)

  • do you have an accent?

  • if you were going to build a house what elevator would you install in your house?

  • @lormarina This one probably doesn't have the counterweighted door. That only seems to appear on the new NG doors, though Otis sometimes used them back in the 1990s. I know of one Otis elevator from 1993 that uses a counterweight for the door closer.

  • Is this the elevator with the counter waited door.
