I would like to see pro wrestling incorporate elements of MMA in terms of grappling and submission holds. I don't see the WWE or TNA making a commitment to do this.

@speedbuggy eh, i wouldn't mind the fancy ring entrances if the in-ring action was still like this. i think the late 80s had the best of both worlds. especially the flair steamboat matches. lots of pyro and pageantry before the match and lots of good action during the match.
either way it's 100 times better than today's crap.

thesz was baiting him by feeding him the head the whole time to get the backdrop

Yes sir they were skilled wrestlers. Lou Thesz who was a skilled grapple rs with many holds and escape techniques. They do not make them like that anymore. The skill has gone, now its loud mouth scripted (poor) idiots who really do not have any talent. The most basic skilled 1950-60 wrestlers would walk all over the dopes of today. WWE comes to mind 5/5

also with Gordon Solie on commentary, is it not?

That match ended with a nice bang too :)
Too bad the camera men weren't ready for it or they could have gotten a better shot of the throw at the end.

great match
This is what professional wrestling should still be like. No bad storylines or scripted dialogue, no fancy ring entrances or pyro, just two men getting in the ring & putting on a great match.
