i really really like this, and how you carry power without getting too melodramatic. when i performed this awhile back, i think that was my biggest mistake.
that being said, you are talking about watching someone you care about die, so i think it's okay to let go a little more at the end. but excellent job :)

Naomi Wallace is my favorite playwright of all time. (Edward Albee is a close second.) Amazing material. As a monologue and in your performance it stands alone beautifully...but in the whole of the story Pace is tough as nails. I definitely think she has moments of vulnerability (which makes her human...) but she's the toughest young female character I've ever read. I would love to see you perform her in the whole production...to see the Pace's journey. Great job! :D Peace.

I really like this monologue.

i think you should deliver this with more stillness, seeing the events you tell us unfold before your eyes (almost like confession). a thorough look at tactics will help.
it's like, here at the trestle, you have the chance to finally confess... to lash out... to relive... to atone... to mourn... all in the piece (look back at the text's punctuation for clues of when to change tactics).

@trestleboy i did it that way for my auditions but i wanted to change it a little bit just to see what different ways i could tackle it.

Ive been considering doing this monologue for my uni audition next week but just wasnt sure how it would stand up against every body elses.
You really showed me how powerful you could make it without doing an over-dramatic "Whhhhy Brett" kinda thing :)
Thankyou very much! That was excellent!
p.s- Is the american accent real? It sounds extreamly genuine if its not!
