Whether she noticed it or not, she was no match for an adult male lion, especially because she hadn't eaten in a while. She ended up "adopting" a few more calves, but none lasted as long as the first. That what the documentary said anyway...
@toeztocy2003 the one lion who did eat him didnt have the instincts to protect. The lion who protected the antelope just lost a few cubs of her own and she wanted to protect this antelope like her own cub. If you watched the movie, you can see that the lion who was protecting her wasnt paying attention for a few seconds and thats when the other lion attacked and ate it. If the protecting lion noticed there was another lion close to her there would have been a fight for sure.

In the US they just made it legal for people in the military to have sex with goats or whatever they like as part of the NDAA that just passed.
