The "Kinder-Gators" from Pioneer Elementary in Escondido, CA are not only talking about what they want to be when they grow up but how to get there. For some of these kids, English is not their first language and the word college is one rarely mentioned in their homes. Under the guidance of their teacher, Ms. Wathen, college readiness is strongly incorporated into the classroom. They proudly shared their Gator songs and crafts with the San Diego Gator Club for International Gator Day.
Due to hard work in creating a short video based on the University of Florida, and thanks to the entire Gator Nation, their class won a Voters Choice Award at the Escondido Youth Media Festival!
