Yes, but do not forget that France policies (Versailles Treaty & invasion of the Ruhr) against Germany after the WW1. It caused an chain reaction that brought Hitler into power

Fair comment, poitrenaud. I am certainly not anti-American. Far from it.. I am part German and Serb, as well as British. I guess if we all look back, we tend to find a mixture within us. Many of my friends on here are American, and I love them very much. I did not agree with UK participation in the Iraq War without a UN mandate, though. Chirac was right on that, I think. Enough politics anyway.. It's a sad and violent world. Anything that can help to bring love and peace to all has my vote.
