The snakes were to be used in an BBC documentery about python snakes. No one were injured but one got medical help because it had been bitten by a lion. It got local anastesia, stitched it up, and gave profylactic antibiotics. Afterwors all were set free!
The hunting on the other animals provided food for the surronding villages. No trophy hunting.
