I've triedout kubuntu, must say i enjoy ubuntu better. Gonna try out xubuntu now, maybe post a vid about it. Does anybody know of a vid here where i can expierience xubuntu?

i traded normal ubuntu for kubuntu :D its looks alot cleaner and nicer :P

the only diff. between ubuntu and kubuntu is the desktop environment kubuntu is ubuntu based + the KDE

Boot regularly into GNOME, logout, Select Session Type, Kubuntu/KDE, I think. I haven't used Ubuntu or Linux in about a month.

how do you get compiz on kubuntu? kubuntu has a KDE graphics system and compiz was built for gnome... can you tell me how?

if you use compiz you have to make sure you have 3d drivers installed. kde is meant to have a more 'windows' feel to it. Since kde 4.1 there is no need for compiz fusion. Kde 4.2 which will be out officially later this month has most of the effects you'd want. Not nearly as many, but still enough and much more user friendly. You can DL 4.2 alpha still if you want, it's pretty stable except i've run into some issues with the plasmoids.

it is kde3. i did the colors up myself, but i found that a dark theme with light text will make certain things unreadable when browsing the web.

hi. i installed kubunty yester day on my computer but when i try do add special effeckts itt all crash.. all i can see is a black screen any help for me`?
