@fullyfunked. Word homey an ima ese from tha westcoast. Rakim been doin since iza kid an im O.O.G. G.U.R.U (rip) was another MC that couldn't b touched after almost 3 decades! that is unpresidented.
These young chavalas get caught up in flashy trends. These new mc's maybe flashy and dance like a good boxer but.. 50cent said Rakim his favorite rapper...he was hot then, now he fell off and Rakim still there never fell off. A good boxer can dance n all that but the GREAT ones go the distance.

It's not that Rakim doesn't know how to rap anymore, it's just that he can't muster up the ferocity he once had. It's like a great boxer. Even when they're old they understand how to box, they just can't execute anymore because you can't fake youthful exuberance. Either you got it or you don't. Peace to the God though. Maybe the dopest MC of all time in his prime.

dont think this tunes on any album the deal with dre fell through due to musical differences i think dre wanted rakim to chat gangster and rakim wasnt down with it i wish eric b and rakim would reunite 4 a album eric bs production suited rakim much better than dres they was a match made in heaven my favourite eric b and rakim album is let the rhythm hit em that albums a time less classic
