For anyone who is using a wheelchair, Like I use a Rigid type chair, a wheelie is a Must, I can do a wheelie until I just don't want to anymore, Once you learn, you will never forget,

Ah gotcha, I never knew that. Thanks for the info! :)

That's not a dumb question at all! A lot of people think "quadriplegic" and think of power chairs and vents but most quads don't use either of these.
It simply means there is impairment in all four limbs. If someone says they have a "c" level of injury (I'm a c6) they are a quad.
I can't use all of the muscles in my arms or use my fingers, but I can move them. My arms are not as strong as some people's but I've built up the muscles I can use to compensate. I can't feel all of my arms either.

Hey this is going to sound like the dumbest question in the world but what exactly determines a quadriplegic and a paraplegic? because I thought quadriplegics couldn't move their legs OR arms, but you're obviously using your arms (that's you, right? lol). Sorry for the retarded question.
are you kimandsophie from apparelyzed?

I love doing that on paths when I get the chance.
I'm about to graduate to being as tippy as I can be in my chair soon. I'm about 50% of the way to being perfectly tippy for me.
My first few experiences before knowing I could do this was flipping backwards twice in my own house to avoid a squashed cat or as it turned out 2... I think the one laughed so hard she told the other one to do the same thing a few days later.
Then in a Dr's office I was backing up and caught the edge of a carpet.

You will notice a big difference when moving over rough ground or over curbs then! LOL cats are evil! Although my Husky tipped us over awhile ago and ruined my laptop.
I hate catching things like that. It usually happens on door frames though! I fell over in the closet once and yelled for my boyfriend to come take my wheelchair out of the way and he didn't hear me. It took so long to get out of there and when I came out into the living room he was like "where were you?"! LOL!
