  • This is just a theory of mine so ignore as you please, but I reckon artists like Richard Thompson probably feel they get all the recognition they deserve already because their music, far from being commercially driven, is appreciated live by an audience which realises the real genius lies not in selling units but in making people react emotionally and intellectually to the sounds they hear. Let's face it, anyone can flash their nipples to a kareoke backing track can't they?

  • Intense. I feel like I've seen him naked. He's one of the best guitarists living in our world. When does he get his due?

  • Ah, the guitar playing! Great story, too.

  • natch a musician with this much taste & class would make up a GREAT tune about THE MOST ICONIC AND SOULFUL MOTORCYCLE OF ALL TIME ! kudos to the poster of this vid , kudos to r.t. ...my motorcycle will run circles around a vincent (minus the soul) & my guitar playing will never reach r.t.'s level..but the inspiration of THE BIKE & THE MAN (r.t.) are with me always.

  • first; I don't want to see Richards nipples. I just want to hear music written and edited by the people who perform it. Forget all of the bums who are making millions by creating by committee. Art can't work without being truthful and music today has precious little truth in it, Give me Thompson, Donavan, McCartney, Lennon, Guthrie. Leave out Conye West

  • It's not like he's done badly out of it though. He still has a rather nice house, in a nice area, good vehicle collection, etc.

  • My mum

Showed me this song, I wish music of today wasn't so crappy :/ oldies are the best -3 I love this song, he plays the guitar wonderfully! The songs on the radio aren't even music.. No meaning to songs any more :/ don't let folk and rock die out :)

    -J, 14 yrs --- there's hope. Some kids have music taste. :)

  • 35 people obviously ride Harleys.

  • Waht I do'nt understand is why he's beard is white but he's hair is black its like a littel afro hehehehehehehehe

  • That might be Thompson's signature piece. In any case it's perfect, classic RT.

  • Thank for posting one of my heroes.

  • i agree, and have expressed thus by liking the comment. thanks, its always nice to be reminded that there are more people like me in the world (i often forget).
