  • what type of microphone are you using?

  • Hey Slack: The 16" discs only have a max of 15 minutes per side because they were cut using a 78 rpm groove (played at 33 1/3). You need to use a 2.5-3 mil 78 needle to properly play these NOT a .7 mil LP needle. Later on they went to 33 1/3 microgroove transcriptions that used an LP needle and had 2- 15 minute shows per side.

  • I like it, but then again I also like those 16 rpm Seeburg background music records, so what does that say about me LOL,,,

  • Amusing. I liked it.

I also have a Califone which is a little bit older than yours. Mine is model 12V7 the Director, and indeed I also have a couple of the 16 inch transcription discs. You can see some of my phonographic demonstrations here as well. I must upload something on the Califone real soon.

    Happy Holidays, Mister.

  • goddzilla records lol it whoud be cool to see if they did like rock and other music on that size

  • Hey Burt! Same here... summer equatorial calms and life conspires against me. Feeling less whacky these days. But working on a project to share some time soon. Holy crap! That's a big record! I've never seen such a beast! Also, interesting that your vintage turn table happens to play that monster. Music without interruption... funny. Nice waltz... maybe used as an early sonic weapon??

  • Hidee ho Neighbor. Welcome back ...

  • Hi Slack,

Try making a sober video. Ok to talk slow. Slow yes. dragging , no...

  • Hey slack, the record sounds cool buddy, I like it a lot! This beats listening today's crappy hip hop so-called music!!

  • maybe that record was made for providing background music on a militery base.
