An acoustic cover of one of the best from the 80's. Soft Cell - Tainted Love. Decided mid video to segue into the Where Did Our Love Go? bit just like the old 12" version does. I know it drags on a bit, but hey, I was having fun so just went with it.

  • Brilliant & inspirational as always. What made you combine these 2 very different but great songs?

  • @theselector Not my idea. You will see from the Suggested Videos on the right that it was Soft Cell themselves that combined these songs on the 12" version.

  • awesome cover ! ! Gotta love the 80s!

could you please do Rockin Chair by Oasis?

  • @omsare9 Thanks. Have already cover Rockin' Chair. :-)

  • very great cover! could you make a tutorial for tainted love, please?

  • @TheJensGuitar Chords are Em, G, C, G, Asus2 repeated for the verse. E, G, C, Am, Asus2 for the bridge. Hope that helps.

  • Very nicely done man.

  • Any chance of a tutorial on the strumming on tainted love cant seem to get the cord changes PLEASE

  • Since you are doing some 80's songs, how about too shy from Kajagoogo or Spandau Ballet's True?

  • Both of these songs were songs which were close to the soul music in the 60's. It's interesting how they're twinned in your cover.

  • I remember this playing in the pubs when i was 16.Great cover Pete it

    sounds cool on acoustic.

  • @georgiarose16 thanks!

  • Very good cover Pete, well played and very well sung.

I have to admit that I spent most of the '80's listening to everything but what was in the charts. I remember dancing bored in clubs to Madonna, the Pet Shop Boys and the bloody Miami sound Machine!! Geez what tripe , the Smiths were the only reprieve until the Stoned Roses, Happy Mondays, and the like appeared and finally Oasis to finally give us some great music. A decade to forget! Why do all the kids now want to dress like it!
