This is an improvised synth piece I did on new years day. Mainly driven by the klee sequencer. Two cameras were used, but the handheld flip camera shots were pretty useless as apparently I'm unable to drive the synth and shoot steady shots - but there were a few I used anyway. The audio was captured separately in cubase, and some reverb was added, but except for that, it's all my homemade modular synth, with no outside sounds or midi. This version is slightly shortened to fit youtube's size limit - you can see the whole version at http://www.vimeo.com/2702873 - there's also a detailed description of the patch used.

  • My machine is:

    200* easier to use

    10*smaller

    Have almost infinite functions

Can make whole songs, and not just rebirth loops.

    5*Cheaper expenses.

    NAME: COMPUTER.

  • @Bleepmap o rly? srsly? You mean you can do all that? I thought the computers could only do email and The Google and play solitaire. Why didn't you tell me this a long time ago? ;) (srsly, thx for the comment!)

  • If you had to lose all of your modules exept for 4 of them, which ones would you pick?

  • @keoni29 Hmmmm... I'll have to think about that.

  • @WooblyBoobly Of course you could do all this in software. To do exactly what I'm doing here when I filmed this 2 years ago would have involved some sequencing software that hadn't been written yet, although it could have been emulated easily enough using max. But that's not really the point - while I know and use software synths, and have since the early 90's, I've used modular synths since the mid-70's, and feel comfortable using them. They can do stuff software can't do, and vice versa.
