prequal triogy sucks compared to lord of the rings but the original trilogy compared to it lord of the rings was only a little better i love star wars because of it was monderen mytholagy but lord of the rings was normal mytholagy star wars was really more insperationall but lord of the rings wasent really insperationall it was more epic battle star wars had a lot of philosophy lord the lord of the rings had little both movies are awsome! stop naging about it and get a life

What Star Wars trilogy was he referring too there's like 4 different versions of the same films and I like how in any Star Wars argument the prequels barley get a mention.
BUT SERIOUSLY I love both but Lord of the Rings more by 3 points......

To have a proper LOTR vs Star Wars face off I think you would really need to consider the books as well. There are definitely some aspects of Star Wars that kick ass, but LOTR is better as a whole on just about every level. These days Star Wars is overrated and mostly by 14-20 year old kids who have probably seen it once. It's hype.

I like both. But LOTR is a lot better. Lotr is is amazing. Star Wars is good. Star Trek is the superior "Star-something" franchise though.

I prefer the trilogy and not the star wars saga, always have, always will. Jedi faggets flying around in their capes and boots and their huge dildos is just not my thing.

I don't understand what's this all about. LOTR is a book. Stars is a film. They're different. Peter Jackson simply adapted the books to the screen. It's completely different stuff.
