For the labourers, it is back-breaking work in the heat of the day....picking the garlic, spreading out the freshly picked garlic to dry, then bundling and loading onto vehicles for the journey to Chiang Mai. But I am not sure how much of the 15 Baht per kilo these workers will get...as it is almost certain that they don't possess the correct papers to allow them to work and thus the exploitation of minorities in this part of Thailand continues."
