Part 2 in our series on "Why we use the King James Bible Exclusively." (Links to additional notes and power point presentations should be posted on our website soon.) http://lauderdalebaptist.org/

Psalm 12:6-7 (King James Version)

6The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Proverbs 30:5-6 (King James Version)

5Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

6Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Psalm 119:89-90 (King James Version)

89For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

90Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

Matthew 5:18 (King James Version)

18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew 24:35 (King James Version)

35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 16:17 (King James Version)

17And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Luke 21:33 (King James Version)

33Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Mark 13:31 (King James Version)

31Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Revelation 22:18-19 (King James Version)

18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Matthew 4:4 (King James Version)

4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

2 Peter 1:19-21 (King James Version)

19We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

20Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

  • Well, I had to say, there is different Agnostics, so it can not be understood as BASIC as he says it is. The Teacher admits to NOT WANT SOMEONE CHANGING THE TEXT FOR THERE OWN USE.. Well, one needs to seriously think about the Greek Text that the KJV was rendered from and NOT BLAME THE KJV Translators in doing so (because it is what they had at the time). Well, I really see issues with what he is teaching because I can use the SAME LOGIC with the CANNON he is supporting in debate.

  • The Greek text (TR) for the KJV was a Modern day mid-evil text, we have much more older texts than what they had at the time, this is how scholars see that 1JN 5:7-8 Is a forgery. Furthermore the verse was added in the Greek Variant to prove the Triune God and therefore was a Sects Forgery, this is accepted by ALL Christian Scholars and even critics, and well noted in most ALL NIV bibles I really think the Teacher needs to see why we think the older manuscripts are in play ..
