On this first post covering AMD news at IDF, I've asked Moorhead his views on Netbooks/MIDs, those ultra-small form factor notebooks a-la EeePC or HP Mini-Note that started on the "cheap" side of the market. But as Moorhead pointed out, you can now find those low-featured netbooks (no hard disks, tiny keyboard/screen, low battery life...) at the price of a full-featured laptop! So is it really worth it? I think not.

  • Mine has a shitey battery life

  • Loser. NETBOOKS RULE!!! In fact, I'm posting this comment from one, my Acer Asphire One!!!

  • he has a point, netbooks are just $100-$200 off full notebooks now, its bullshit, the point of netbooks are to be cost effective. 6 cell battery of a netbook, can do around 8-9 hours,IF your screen is on power save, and your not using wifi. This video I can agree with

  • Yes I have 2x GTX 295 and yes the ATI's crap all over them.

  • AMD OWN ATI they bought them out.

Your a Dickhead. AMD are going the Way Of Apple AMD Fully dedicated platform with 24 core hypertrans or hyperthread by middle 2010 Big surprise coming from AMD they have been busy..

  • @xcv159.

I thought again and yes I still think your a wanker.

  • I gave you thumbs up but i still say your a wanker.LOL

  • You got it Intekl is fucking itself slowly. people are really starting to open their eyes now that intel jewish processors likes bombing inocent people in the middle east. where does AMD stand on killing inocent people.

  • He has a good point though, you can easily spend as much on a netbook as you could on a entry level notebook

  • I just got a Sony Vaio W series, and its pretty good. It's clearly not as high power as my other laptop, a 17" Sony Vaio VGN, but no one ever said it would be. Generally speaking netbooks are best made for those who know how to separate different tasks for different computers. My big laptop is heavy and hard to carry around... the W is perfect for ultra fast paced use like taking notes at school. I don't need to play video games or edit videos while I'm out and about anyway.....
