Ok. Here is a series on Layout design and construction which draws from my experience over the years. I hope you find the information useful for building your model railroad. There'll be more videos to come over the next few weeks. FYI: I've put this series on hold while I figure out how work out some encoding issues on my desktop capture videos. In addition I want to re-think my approach to this series.

is that a hobbie term or am i just over thinking

  • No. It's not just a hobby term. Here is a basic definition of the word.

prototype - an original model on which something is patterned

  • hey e imn considering converting to n scale after waching your layout for a few years i now see that in n scale i can fit twice as much in :)

  • wow you are overtaking the basement!!! don't let your wife know!!! l;ol

  • i'm one of the ones who's negotiating with their parents for space.... I'm 13 an I've always been interested in models and specifically train modeling I've never built a train layout before but i started thinking mine up a couple weeks ago and I began construction maybe 5 days ago. I'm really enjoying it, and I have also been watching a ton of your videos and I love them, so thank you!!

  • Gee I hope that you won't have to get a new hot water heater or get to any leaky pipes that your layout is going around.

  • Hornby is OO scale..

  • I just have started to collet Hornby trains could you tell what the scale/gauge is all about

  • Cool planning ideas!
