Ok. Here is a series on Layout design and construction which draws from my experience over the years. I hope you find the information useful for building your model railroad. There'll be more videos to come over the next few weeks. FYI: I've put this series on hold while I figure out how work out some encoding issues on my desktop capture videos. In addition I want to re-think my approach to this series.

i am extremly new to the hobbie i own no trains or anything. i had some trains as a little kid and im extremly lost. can you help me out by expaining "prototype"

is that a hobbie term or am i just over thinking

No. It's not just a hobby term. Here is a basic definition of the word.

prototype - an original model on which something is patterned

the scale is its size compared to the real thing.

i'm one of the ones who's negotiating with their parents for space.... I'm 13 an I've always been interested in models and specifically train modeling I've never built a train layout before but i started thinking mine up a couple weeks ago and I began construction maybe 5 days ago. I'm really enjoying it, and I have also been watching a ton of your videos and I love them, so thank you!!
