Did someone say that the bad economy was caused by the Bush government? You mean administration. Ok. What caused it has been going on long before Bush, and that's the planned economy, a la the federal reserve. What wall st did in the last 8 years began with Alan Greenspan not raising interest rates after the dotcom burst. After that, it was Henry Paulsen throwing bones to Goldman and others on wall st, and then the activities of Fannie Mae, a GSE. But here's the thing: Obama is making it worse

We reap what we sow, yakmouth. I personally would much rather error on the side of Progressive Wisdom than Con Neanderthal Science. You prefer the latter, it's a free country. From the perspective of the fear market (or are they still calling it "free" market?)you love so much, you deserve all that you got coming.

How can you tell he's making it worse? He's been in office less than a year. how naive do you have to be to think he could have fixed the crisis in this time?

Trickle down economics are what we -know- got us into this mess. Lets not write off the economic stimulus package because amature econmists don't agree with a thoery they have only a sloppy understanding off (because they get all their indo from Fox and conservative blogs).

Ha. The energy bill? That screws the economy in so many ways it's not even funny. It's 2wice as bad as the health care bill. Not only will fuel rise 7% to begin with, which will cause prices to rise for everything, but energy costs for households will rise. And it's job killer from hell, as when companies are getting their bottom lined screwed by emission taxes, they aren't going to be hiring and will likely be cutting. It's a colossal clusterfuck. Yeah, Obama....

This comments thread is full or more ignorant fucking class warfaring idiots than all the apparatchiks of the old Soviet Union and Mao's China combined. You want to know why most the "have nots" have not? Cause they're a bunch of fucking fools, who, even when they have, are too fucking stupid to hang onto it, and so it gets swindled from them by people smarter than them. That's why. That's why there's always 20% havenots. So, they demonize rich people and get gov to smite their betters for them.

Rupert Murdoch is good for the child sex slave economy. He fits the profile of someone who would dig that sort of thing. So does Cheney, Rove and Romney among many other conservatives.....after all why would we be naive enough to believe that their reprehensible exploitation stops with the American Adult Population. I believe they're pedophiles and we should not think otherwise until they PROVE otherwise.

Reprehensible exploitation? I suppose that forcing HC and energy bills down the public's throat, bills that will literally destroy what's left of the economy, particularly the latter, don't fit into your idea of exploitation? Murdoch is a news mogul. Nothing more. It's the activities of Washington, in collusion with wall st, that have brought this country its knees economically . Why don't learn a few fucking things before calling everyone a pedophile, you dumbass.

The CBO determined that the "HC" reform which is supported by a majority of the American Public will cut the deficit as well as opening access to healthcare for more Americans. "Energy Bills"? I suppose you don't remember the Cheney "closed door energy talks"(ken lay) which resulted in a spike in oil prices that sent the economy reeling? Murdoch is a jackass who has no concern for anything but his bottom line. I think you're the one that should do the learnin' yakmouthidiot77.

And all the CBO projections are real but they are based off an unreal assumption that the program will stay anywhere near that projection in the future, save for the first few years when no benefits are paid out. You don't even have the taxes and cuts in spending to pay for all the OTHER deficits outside of healthcare. Anyone who thinks that this bill is workable or sustainable is a fool. You're the fucking jackass dude. 110trillion$ in unfunded liabilities and you think this a wise move. Learn

The world was once separate states but history tells us that doesn't last. Because separates states eventually become run by men unfit to lead who then try and acquire more states to make their state bigger and more powerful.
