So did rudd, he was foreign affairs spokesperson for the labor party and he said there was no doubt that saddam had WMDs. but apparently when the intel is wrong its just howards fault, even tho labor would have done no different.

yes, what we do know what happened is that the rufugees deliberately sank their own boat with children in it. Throwing children overboard vs sinking a boat with them on it. you're comparing apples and apples - both resulted in children being in the water as a result of these people.

On 7 October 2001 a boat with refugees sank. John Howard had just announced an election. On October 9 he said "...the behaviour of these people, particularly those involving throwing their children overboard... I can't imagine how a genuine refugee would ever do that. I certainly don't want people of that type in Australia". He demonised defenceless people to win the election. Yet the Defence Strategic Command said "There is no indication that children were thrown overboard". John Howard lied.
