  • @spaceagedevice Probably because Abbey Road was out the year before. Tommy also managed to make some of the best Beatles pastiches out there! He did have a gospel touch that stood him apart from the Fab Four. Combine that with garage psych and totally unique production (soooooo 1960's) and you've got yourself an unjustly neglected giant of period pop. Tommy James rocks!
