as a native of florida who currently lives

in pennsylvania i must say that i've noticed

racism is more common here, i was SHOCKED to

learn that deep racism existed still b/c in

florida i hardly noticed racism but here in PA racism is everywhere. HOwever, it IS mostly democratic too :)

as a southerner who has moved up north

i was appalled by how much more prevelent

racism is here, to be specific i live in

northeast Pennsylvania. In my first year here i went to a school that had skin heads, i have never went to school with those types down south. You cant even stand in a line at the grocery store without hearing racial slurs, and these people vote democrat.

As a white northerner I concur. I think the reason there are more racists in the north than the south is because you folks down there have personally seen the negative consequences of widespread ignorance.

Wow! Another distortion of the facts from the liberal left. If you read the book you will realize that "Uncle" Tom was a martyr who died by the hands of his owner after Tom refused to whip another slave. Or perhaps you were being sarcastic in that case Bob is an Uncle Tom, and I believe we need more people like him(a man how stands up for what is right).

Bob, love your work, but just have to say, as a white southerner, I've met more biggoted white northerners than the former. I understand that as a Bostonian you associate with a more cosmopolitan cut of people, but really, the spectre of Southern Racism is all but dead.

Way to tell it like it is! I often see liberals and liberal blacks distorting history simply to invoke provocative responses from their audiences. Much of the time these invocations amount too little more than disempowering drivel, grievance pandering and self-demotion.
