39. Run To Me (The Awakening) - Sunnydeux Original Song #1

As much as I love singing my favorite cover songs, I also enjoy writing and composing.

I am long overdue in sharing my own ideas with you, sharing how those songs have shaped my own songs & life...a fear I must overcome.

I recorded this on my Mac, so my songs/recordings continue to be very much "in the rough."

I rather like it that way.

Currently enduring one of the most challenging periods of my life, this song says it all. It's about hope in the face of adversity; about faith & rebirth...and rediscovering the essence of the former "you" left behind. A baptism of fire...knowing that we are all enduring our quiet storms for a higher purpose.

I remain strong. I am learning a lot of new lessons about people, friends, family ... but mostly, a lot of new things about myself.

So, I return to music. My safe haven. Beautiful music. Without boundaries and rules. Simply free.

Slow & steady wins the race.
