The centre is still open and the animals have so far not been destroyed. A court suspended judgement. The judge in the case was Dna Carmen Frigola Castillon. All credit to her. The villain of the piece seems to be the mayoress of Palma, Aina Calvo. She apparently supported the centre while seeking election, but has now given in to pressure from powerful unknown parties to have the centre closed down. The phone no. at Palma Council to complain is 971 225 900. Let's spread the word.

Si bien los políticos reconocen que hay que mejorar en temas de protección de animales, creando más refugios, financiando campañas de castración, etc. éste centro precisamente se quiere cerrar. Está en el campo, no sobrepasa niveles de ruido ni incumple leyes. Por qué el cierre entonces? Quienes son estos vecinos tan poderosos?
