AUTOMATICKET machines were widely used in cinemas, but when betting shops were first licensed in the 1960s there was an urgent need for something similar, so the manufacturer modified the Automaticket machine for this specific use. The handle on the top contains a clock; when it's pressed it stamps the date and time on a betting slip while the ticket issuing mechanism below issues a sequenced ticket.
