  • He uses the same fucking script EVERY TIME.

  • @GecklesGecko By the way the creator of Magic the Gathering went on to make a company called Blizzard Entertainment which is now the creator of one of the most popular video games of all time "World of Warcraft". Capturing the hearts and minds of not just CHILDREN anymore but everyone they can.

  • @GecklesGecko The creator of Magic the Gathering once said, "My dream is to get these cards on every shelf of every toy store in America. We make games that capture the hearts and the minds of the CHILDREN who play them." It is a fantacy world designed so that the player gets emotionally and sometimes physically involved in the game because that is what sells. You may not be violent but you have allowed yourself to be sold the idea that what you put into your mind doesn't matter.

  • What age is it okay to begin to play violent video games? Is it really okay no matter what age we are to play a game that puts us in a fantacy environment where we, as the player, destroy another persons life? It's not just a game it's an escape. It is a fantacy. It is practice. It is making us numb to life in our own bodies and others. When is it okay to watch someone be killed?

  • ok there should be an age limit like you have to be idk 12 and older to play games like black opps or shomthing i play violent video games but im mature you havsme good points some bad points but the world must learn for itslef im a strate a student that playes violent games like black opps acbrohood etc and my grades when t up after i stated playing them

  • When I first heard about the video game age demoghaphics, I was amazed. Brett has amazing points, and brings me to research even further.

  • Do you even know what the media is? Geeze it pisses me off when people act like the world is being destroyed by video games & video games alone. There have been violent, graphic movies, TV shows, & books decades before video games even came to be. & besides, there are WAAAAAY more appropriate games around than violent, sexual ones. Sure, the graphic ones sell more (Unfortunately, because they suck not because of violence, just as games), but humans have been that way since the dawn of time.

  • i remember when brett came 2 my school. he's an amazing speaker and im glad my parents dont let me play grand theft auto

  • Currently Crime is very low in the U.S. as opposed to 20 years ago where games were less violent. Obviously Video games are not a big component in crime and actual violence.

  • Well there is a reason the more violent and graphic video games and movies have adult ratings. If I parent buys a game for their child that's intended for an adult audience, then it's their prerogative. Furthermore, when a child commits a felony these days, some tabloids seem to blame graphic video games for the child's actions instead of that child mental state. You can replace videos games with anything else found in a house, I could blame Star Trek for violence too by using that methodology.
