Then I began to study on my own and found it utterly devoid of God and the members, while claiming honor, utterly depraved! @brereton1113 You just committed the fallacy of equivocation. Do you not know anything about logical debate? Where you are born has an influence for sure but that has no affect on truth. Your cultural perceptions do not change truth. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!... regardless of where you are from and the predominate religion there. @ShowthyselfApproved Godforsaken place? SO.. God is not there huh? When a Lodge is opened, the Holy Bible (or other Holy Book depending on the predominant religion of the members there) is opened on the Masters pedestal and remains open for the duration of the meeting. The letter "G" hangs from the ceiling in the centre of the Lodge. This, amongst other things, stands for God and is a reminder to us all that God is always present above us. Explain THAT!

@ShowthyselfApproved I told you.. its an example of archaic language. We don't WORSHIP the Master of the Lodge. I should know, I've been the Mster on several occasions. I held my position and saw it as the ultimate SERVANT of the Lodge so how can the rest of the Lodge worship a servant?

Another example, what about when we speak of the Mayor. He is referred to as "His Worship, the Mayor". Is HE "worshipped"? NO. It's ANOTHER example of RESPECT for the OFFICE.

@ShowthyselfApproved So you're a Christian huh? And you are convinced that Christianity is the only religion. You know what, the average Iraqui would say that Islam is the ONLY religion. But if YOU were born in say Iraq YOU would say Islam is the only religion and if the Iraqi guy were born in the States HE would say Christianity is the only religion. Don't you see that religion can't be divine.. because its based on where you were born!

1. Not everything you read is true just because it is in print or on the internet.

2. Not everyone are open minded, so they will give a biased view.

3. Some people are just crackpots.

4. Some crackpots inhabit Youtube.

@ShowthyselfApproved Maybe American Masons "convinced you to be one" but in this country, No man is "invited" to join. He must contact us and ask to join. Pike IS quoted in Masonic circles and much of what he said is correct.. but there are some inaccuracies.

OH.. and in my 23 year Royal Naval career, I found brethren of the highest calibre and never once found a brother to be guilty of any wrongdoing
