As someone who actually worked with handicapped people who got SSD and SSI, I can tell you, they weren't "harmed" by it, they needed it. We wouldn't have been able to even provide services to them otherwise.

As a side note for those not aware. During the Reagan era in 1986 is when he first pledge was signed. That is a long time to keep a secret. But it seems all the wealthy Republicans knew about it... didn't they... including our Congressman and our Governors that just coincidently fall within that upper income bracket!!!!! Imagine that!
