I actually agree with Ebony. Yes, they were known before Lyn-z married G, but not as known as they are now. God, you should see some of the forums with MCR fans raving about them, the fans that would have not given them a chance before the marriage, because their lyrics were so against what Gerard's message had once been.

I'd say their fan base has trippled since the marriage.

I have to dissagree with you Ebony, Msi was already quite well on their own before Lyn Z married Gerard Way, look at all the fans in this video-The fans are very loyal and that's what makes them big. And unless you know Lyn Z personally I wouldn't say that she married him for the fame, because I have met with her a few times at concerts and she's not that way.
