I totally agreed with Bush on this one. Was 9/11 directly linked to Iraq. No but Iraq was still a threat to the world.

Saddam actually was responsible for 911 indirectly . Bin Laden was exiled from Saudi Arabia in 1990 for threatening to overthrow the royal family for allowing American Bases on the "Holy Land". If Saddam never invaded Kuwait there would be no 9/11.

The sad thing: 40% of Americans DO believe Saddam Hussein played a role in the 9/11 attacks.
You have Barack Obama and George Bush saying Saddam Hussein did not play a role in the 9/11 attacks, and yet still, 40% of Americans think otherwise.
The ignorance on this matter is disgusting. How are we going to defeat our enemies if 40% of Americans can't TELL who are our enemies are?

Selective amnesia? What about how the CIA recruited Saddam at age 22? What about how we put him in place as a dictator to go against the Soviets? What about how we gave him all of his chemical weapon components and supported him while he gassed the Kurds? Theres your selective amnesia.
