I am in South Africa and many years ago also learned Pan Nam Wing Chun, but under Sifu Lan Hing Fung, who studied under Lai Yip Chi, who studied directly under master Pan Nam. This was before people talked about it openly or Edddie Chong made it popular. My Sifu's focus was much on Chi-kung cultivation and application. The deeper secret's was however only reserved for closed door disciples (I wasn't one). I miss it...

Seems very similar to the form of Wing Chun I'm learning. I wonder if mine's Pan Nam as well?

I'm 6th generation Yip Man family and 3rd generation Pan Nam family. I must still add, my embarisment at my own words. But yesterday is gone, tomorrow is unknown and today is a gift that's why it's called present. So today, I grow further and hopefully tomorrow shall grow even more. :o)

Even my Sifu chided me for retaliatory comments and believe it or not my temper is not as bad as it used to be so you are correct in your statement. No matter what someone else says, I am responsible for what my response is and I take this as another lesson in just chilling out and letting the negativity go instead of letting it get a hold of me.

BuzzTIB: In reading through these responses i noticed you displayed good kung-fu, until it became a matter of name calling in the end. You spoke of Kung-fu character, so let me say...
"Ying Dar Juck Dar, But Ying Dar, But Hor Dar, Mo Keung Dar, Mot Luen Dar."
Meaning: When you should hit, hit. When you shouldn't, don't. Don't when you can't. Don't when you mustn't."
-Anyway, learn to let go of those hot coals you wish to throw in revenge; in the end you are the one being burned.

Wow, there must have been some really RUDE comments to get deleted and responded to with such hostility. Gentleman im of Moy Yat lineage, not Pan Nam, in-fact stumbling on these videos is the first time I've EVER heard of Pan Nam from any master, or any wing chun/ving tsun/wing tsun practitioner. This may be different but it is Wing Chun if that is what your Sifu told you. I would love to know what generation you are in the Wing Chun lineage? I for example am 12th generation.

considering there are so very few Pan Nam practicioners here in the U.S. and not that many anywhere else, where/who did you touch hands with? Where are you located?
Please let us know where you got the news and how you know Pan Nam is a Town Drunk? Do have any Facts? World Wide Wing Chun Practitioners and history has already shown that Pan Nam had been recognized in The Wing Chun Community. Please Show us the facts you know about Pan Nam. If not don't simply make words as if it is a fact. You have no "Martial Arts Ethics" learn more about martial arts not just the skills but the moral.

Not alot of people get it. I just talked to Sifu Chong over the weekend, and if you want to learn it you should contact Sifu Eddie Chong, he is the best that I have seen on this system. Peace, and let's all be cool on here.. I love Wing Chun, and my Ak 47's, Glock's, S&W AR15, etc... Get my point
