Nissan is owned by Renault, which make pretty safe cars. But I personally think Ford is better because I owned 2 Fords and nothing went wrong with them.

The Nissan Murano is my favorite, High quality interior and available with AWD. If you want a car With AWD I'd suggest,(somewhat heavy and decent for ice) or a Ford Fusion AWD/(costs more)Mercury MKZ-AWD.
