I'm putting the game on hold as I'm learning new things. Here's a test of what maybe a real project: my portfolio, multimedia presentation. The aspects of this application, of course, will be usable in the game that I've put on hold.

This video shows point-and-click interaction. When the user hovers over certain areas, IPO animations are called, then titles are displayed and spoken out via Sound Actuators. Clicking on icons shows the user other scenes.

I was able to capture the sounds of the "talking titles" but they didn't come out too well so I just muted the video.

The video also shows that texture baking thing I've learnt recently; and adding/managing background and overlay scenes.

  • Very nice, do you happen to have a tutorial out on this??

  • Unfortunately, I don't have a tutorial. But it's really a simple use of Mouse Sensors and IPO Actuators.

Thanks for the idea though. I might make a video and blog about how I made this (once I sort out a few other things).

    Thanks for the hit! :)

  • Damn girl your doing really good!

  • Uhm... girl? :P

  • you made this Abcruz??? Im impressed! 5/5

  • Yep. Included in my baking and scripting experiments. :)

  • And next nice job! :P But when you select something, there i think will be better animation to moving this to corner. :P

    Btw, what program you used?

  • What a great beginning to your portfolio! I like how the jars correlate with completed works, and how all the groups move to one side when you select a section. This looks like a hunter's story (Have some bags, go fight a battle, come home at night to get washed up and have a drink)

  • Thanks, it looks very intriguing how you made this, and I'd love to see that video/blog sometime.

    Happy two-thousand and nine!

  • The select-animate thing was the original idea but right now, I still haven't figured out a way for doing it. Hehehe!

    Program? This is Blender. :)

  • By the way, "honours" are represented by the backpacks because "they're in the bag". Hehehe!
