It's been a long time coming Justin but "thank you" for performing Northampton. When I perform it again myself, I'll probably cop some of your musical ideas. You have some "ebbs and flows" here I hadn't conceived of.
Hope you and your musical studies are well. GF

Just curious but what Mallets did you use? nice job!

@Bdrums101 In this vid, I used Mike Balter 213Bs - those are the really long blue medium-hard ones - I actually don't like them much and for my final performance of this piece, I used a makeshift graduated set of mallets - I used a soft for mallet 1, a medium for mallet 2, a medium-hard for mallet 3 and a hard for mallet 4. It worked great, especially the recital hall situation.

yes, I have a few. Really build up your chops for this piece. It requires strength. And definitely be as musical and lyrical as can be. Pay close attention to the dynamics. Don't be afraid to stretch out certain parts, or over-exaggerate dynamics. and take it really slow at first because it's very intricate, and all those notes have to fall in the right place. Then take it up to full tempo. This is such a beautiful piece, and you'll enjoy it.
