  • Random thing.... Did anyone ever tell you that you look like Kate Winslet? Just thought I'd ask.

  • @smileyamber17 Haha, not really : ). I have gotten comparisons to SpeakMouthWords, though!

  • you look like a man with lip stick and long hair. sorry, your head is shaped like a guy

  • @pacrox2 Haha. You caught me. So much for trying to pass! : )

  • You are a pronunciation master, said the Arabist.

McMaster's defense of Amina (or rather #Amina) in fact sounds somewhat like yours, except I haven't forgiven him yet for wasting all of Twitter's time for two straight weeks.

CNN, girl? Jazeera or it didn't happen. :)

Your Pixar litany ignored THE INARGUABLY GREATEST Pixar film WALL•E. Here I stand, I can do no other.

    That is all.

  • @slavicpolymath I'm glad I didn't destroy the name! I was worried you would watch it, and be all, silly Amurican...

I do disagree with McMaster's defense. I find the incident interesting not because of what he attempted to reveal to us about Syria, but what he revealed to us about ourselves in failing to do so. How we understand the Middle East, that we are so willing to believe that the very Western Amina was real.

And I'm addicted to Jazeera, but have never seen Wall-E. It's on my list : )

  • Why are you so intelligent and awesome? Stop that.

    But actually don't, you're wonderful.

  • photoshoppedddd

    nice video by the way

  • That was adorable

  • Definitely worth the risk! I love this concept almost as much as I love Pixar itself, and I think this is the best response to the "Amira hoax" or whatever it ended up being called I've ever seen. Thank you for retaining positiveness in the face of disappointment and championing faith in a moment of cynicism. It means a lot.

  • i absolutely love your BB2 painting/poster thing :)

  • I kind of want to marry you despite being a heterosexual female. I can't help it! Inspirational speeches and Pixar quotes are sexy!
