Norman Finkelstein on Contemporary Atrocities in Palestine Prt 8 2010

Students for Justice in Palestine SJP@FIU have invited Dr Norman Finkelstein to speak on the illegal Gaza Blockade. Since 2006 Gaza has been under a blockade by Israel. In the Operation Cast Lead of January 2009 more than 1400 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli Occupation Forces, more than 400 of them were children. Recently 9 activists were killed on the Freedom Flotilla which was carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza by Israel.

Norman Finkelstein is an American political scientist and author whose primary fields of research are the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the politics of the Holocaust. He received his Ph.D in Political Science from Princeton University. He has held faculty positions at Rutgers University, New York University, and most recently, DePaul University. Finkelstein is credited by Noam Chomsky and influenced by Mahatma Gandhi. Dr Finkelstein has also authored the books, This Time We Went Too Far, Beyond Chutzpah and The Holocaust Industry.

Man the idea (and the great Prof. Finkelstein mentioned that time) is to beat these ppl with arguments that aren't self defeating. In articulating opposition what's said can't be allowed to be used to counter-attack our position. Using rhetorical points like "zionist pigfuckers" just makes defeating the flaw position they have and the horrible consequences of their brutal actions sort of more difficult u know.

That said, it's great u study Finkelstein's work!!
